Fatale Hair

In a past life (former career) I was a hairdresser. Like many professions, there's a certain appeal to making your own tools and having them match your personal aesthetic.

That's how this project was born. Starting in Rhino 3D (though these days I prefer Fusion) I put together some 3D models.

Renders with colour. The three types of combs designed here are a large styling comb, shampoo comb, and a classic teasing comb.

I decided on the shampoo comb to prototype out of laser cut 1/4" bright red acrylic. I'm really happy with the final result! Not only could this comb be used for shampooing, but it can also hold hair together like a clip.
